Statement
I adopt the statement of J. Michael Murphy and urge the election of our entire Dartmouth United slate.
Dartmouth alumni deserve more control -- not less -- over college governance. Without it, we risk alienating countless alumni and extinguishing their enthusiastic devotion.
I will work to increase the impact of alumni voices on how Dartmouth is run. Not just through the Alumni Councils, Associations, and Town Halls, but also through the Board of Trustees (which actually runs the College).
A voice without a vote is no voice at all. Reasonable people can differ on individual issues, but the inclusion of everyone with a stake in Dartmouth's future is just as important as the actual outcomes. We should all unite in agreement with the principle that Dartmouth can trust us, its alumni, with democracy. Defending this principle is why I’m a candidate.
