Statement
As Dartmouth enters a new era under President Kim, I will continue my loyal service to Dartmouth, if re-elected, so that we can work together with Dr. Kim and his vision for Dartmouth to remain a leader in international education and a supportive environment for a diverse and vibrant community. We are facing new challenges due to the economic environment and the pressures imposed on our institution. It is a time to be focused on the future direction of the College and not looking back on past issues that have drained resources away from our core responsibility to educate students.
I remain committed to open, two-way communication among alumni, students, administrators, and the board of trustees. It is only through honest and respectful dialogue that we can work together to mentor the next generation of leaders that will address real-world issues and make an impact on their global communities. Our collective efforts to stand together and be supportive of interdisciplinary intellectual challenges and the quest for excellence by our students will bring forth benefits beyond measure.
I am ready to serve and will dedicate myself to the mission to unite passion and practicality for all members of the Dartmouth community around the girdled earth. For in this way, we can work together to achieve ambitious dreams and create better realities for the world.
